The SG project may have ended and SG1 disbanded but it looks very much like the gate has been transferred to an obscure location in the UK.  Perhaps the Brits are a little too laid back when it comes to intergalactic security, but the Freedom of Information Act probably dictates that the location of the Stargate is made public.

Well, OK, actually this is a business park in Nechells, on the outskirts of Birmingham.  Thanks to Flickr user ell brown who noticed this and took the time to take a few pictures.
