The Garden of Earthly Delights - Animated

This is a CG interpretation of Hieronymus Bosch’s painting The Garden of Earthly Delights by Thomas Beg whose lifecycle of the mushroom we have also featured on Kuriositas. This is something equally as cerebral - the animation was produced as part of a self-initiated University project for CG Arts and Animation at UCA Rochester.

Fortunately he has spared us the last section of the triptych, which may think represents hell, because this is a family website and we wouldn’t get away with it even in the name of art! Instead we get the central panel - is a broad panorama of nude figures, fantastical animals, oversized fruit and hybrid stone formations.  This is an impressive animation of the panel and to be frank I think the only attempt to animate Bosch’s painting I have seen.
