Natural Re-sasters

So much science fiction is dystopic in nature that it is easy to forget that sometimes, the future may be bright.  Zoom forward to 2067 and enjoy this animated short by a group of talented animators, posted up on Vimeo by one of its writers, Michael Cone.  The future doesn't have to be like those we see in movies like 2012 which spend two (or more hours) wreaking death and destruction before we get a sniff of optimism.  In the future, why can't we simply fix the problems before they become problems?

Well, probably because that wouldn't make very good fiction - let alone movies. However, as a two minute long animated short, the fit is good!
