Game of Thrones Title Sequence Re-Imagined for Skyrim

If you are looking forward to the start of Season 4 of Game of Thrones then you have probably been previewed-out (as it were) already.  So, we’ll just completely ignore the TV series and give you this – its opening sequence re-imagined for Skyrim. The video, created by Brady Wold, starts at Whiterun (where else?) and then visits Solitude, Markarth and other cities in the province of Skyrim.  If you know only neither Skyrim nor Game of Thrones this may leave you nonplussed.  If you know and love both, I think you will enjoy it!

The Musketeers – Opening Titles Sequence of the New BBC Show

If you live in the UK then you may, as I am, be enjoying the new Sunday evening show broadcast on BBC 1.  The Musketeers is an elaborate re-tread of the Alexandre Dumas novel The Three Musketeers and it’s proving popular with its audience with an engaging cast, fast-paced stories and lots and lots of swashbuckling!  One thing the BBC is getting very right just now are its title sequences and the one for The Musketeers, by Momoco is spot on.

Doctor Who Peter Capaldi Title Sequence

Peter Capaldi is set to take over from Matt Smith on Christmas Day 2014 and – as ever – a million and one questions are unanswered until that day.  However, if the BBC takes the cue from Billy Hanshaw, a motion director, based in Leeds UK - they should really create a title sequence somewhere along these lines.

As well as incorporating the features that we are used to, some of the additions here (including Gallifreyan hieroglyphics, cog-wheels of time and an unashamedly steampunk aesthetic) would make the perfect title sequence for Peter Capaldi’s new Doctor.  Come on BBC... can you do any better?

Enter the Dragon: Tribute Title Sequence

Bruce Lee would have been 72 in November (and we have something of a tribute to him coming up then).

In the meantime, here is a tribute title sequence to Enter The Dragon, itself now almost 40 years old, directed by Sky Lee and helped by Steve Hong.

This started as something of a labor of love for Lee, a personal project which started out small and then snowballed.  However, he persevered and we have this marvelous tribute.   For any Bruce Lee fans out there, this is for you!

Cockneys Vs Zombies Title Sequence

The long awaited British comedy horror Cockneys Vs Zombies is set for release in a few days and as a taster we thought we would share with you the title sequence directed by Gianluca Fallone.  It's an animated roller coaster of an sequence and it is very, very cool. It also has Monster by The Automatic as its song.  You know the one - what's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? Is it a monster?

The movie itself features a gang of East End types battling hordes of zombies (well, you may have guessed that from the title of the movie!). They have decided to rob a bank in order to save a local old people's home but as they emerge from the scene of the crime they realize that the East End of London has been taken over by zombies. The movie also features their older relatives, the denizens of the old people’s home fighting off the zombies with octogenarian relish.

For fans of James Bond and The Avengers the movie features Honor Blackman as one of the pensioners who fights off the hordes of the undead with her usual panache! The movie also stars former Eastenders, Bionic Woman and Doctor Who star Michelle Ryan as one of the young trio whose bank job goes zombarifically wrong. With a host of other British character actors, including Richard Briers, Dudley Sutton and Tony Gardner Cockneys Vs Zombies promises to be fun - albeit of an extremely blood spattered nature.

QI Title Sequence Re-Imagined

We have been fans of the show QI, hosted by the inimitable Stephen Fry since it began in 2003 – good grief! Has it really been on our screens almost a decade? Yet throughout the show’s many years the title sequence has remained the same. Time for a change, perhaps?

So, with that in mind Studio Tinto has come up with something over the Easter holiday!  It must be stressed that this is a fan made homage (we are not sure which of the team is responsible!) and nothing to do with the show or the BBC but it does have some marvelous moments.  We think it captures the spirit of the show very well and the fact that someone has taken so much time to create this is certainly a mark of the reverence in which the show is held in the UK! Time for a change, Mr Fry?

The Adventures of Tintin

There is a growing sense of anticipation about The Adventures of Tintin, the upcoming 2011 performance capture 3D film. Based on The Adventures of Tintin, the famous series of comic books created by Belgian artist Hergé (Georges Remi), the movies is directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Sir Peter Jackson, and written by Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat.

James Curran has come up with this brilliant but unofficial title sequence for the movie, which stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Nick Pegg and a host of other British character actors,  featuring elements from each of the 24 books. The real movie makers will have to come up with something really special to beat this!
