Over Time

If you are regular reader of Kuriositas then you will know how much we love animation here – we post up a number of the best we find from Vimeo each week.  Yet even though we like to feel that we present to you the best of the best there is no doubt that Over Time is one of the best of the best of the best!  We were simply blown away by it.

The story is simple enough – as far as we can make it out!  A puppet master dies and his creations (who do have a passing resemblance to Kermit the frog) carry on as if nothing has happened.  Yet it is only a matter of time before they realise that something has happened to the old man.  As such the film is dark, funny, sad and poignant – a combination which only master animators can create.

Directed by Oury Atlan, Thibaut Berland and Damien Ferrié, this is a very special piece of animation. The haunting music is Inconsolable by the Silberman Orchestra with other pieces by Ornadel and the Starlight Symphony.
