A Homage to Edwardian Sportswomen

The World of Sport currently features a very cool post about sportswomen at the turn of the last century.  Rather than being the timid and demure creatures we often see depicted in TV dramas about the Edwardian Era, these women had a huge amount of guts - and many of them allowed the (by our standards) primitive cameras of the day to capture them in their sportswear.

From boxing, wrestling and tennis to soccer and cricket - and many more - these women were engaging in sports which many at the time must have thought the height of unladylike activities.
