TS Eliot's The Wasteland - Animated

This is quite a bold project to take on, but Studio Mica have managed to pull it off - or at a minute or so of it. I just wish they had the time or the energy or the resources (or whatever stopped them doing the rest!) to complete it.

Eliot's 1922 modernist poem is considered one of, if not the, most important poems of the last century. A shifting maelstrom of prophecy and satire it chages speaker throughout, not to mention the time and location. It is the nightmare read of any post college student of literature in as much as it rewards, baffles and frustrates in equal measure.

So thanks - and well done - to Studio Mica. This creative duo based in Istanbul consist of Luca Schenato and Sinem Vardarli. The pair concentrate on design, direction and animation predominantly for the entertainment and broadcasting industries. We think this may be their pet project.
